My review on the Yamaha R15.

The Mini Super Bike....
YZF R15

The mini super bike YZF R15 is inspired from the high end versions like YZF R1 and R6.This bike boasts of such technical prowess which, so far, has been unseen on any bike in India till date. This bike takes Indian biking scenario to a whole new level. This bike allows an easy to ride seating area which allows the rider to steer effectively. This bike was designed is the same modeling room where the YZF R1 designers worked. This mini super bike is loaded with a 4-stroke 149.8cc, single cylinder, SOHC, 4-valve and India’s first liquid cooled engine which produces a class leading 17 PS of power output.
Features
§  Liquid Cooling: It has India’s first liquid cooled engine. Liquid cooler ensures that the bike doesn’t lose out on performance due to high temperatures,be it long distance, high speeds or high climbing rides.
§  Fuel Injection : Another  feature that this bike boasts is of a fuel injector, just the same feature which we have seen in Glamour, pulsar 220 dtsi and apache 160r.this feature makes the bike fuel efficient and environment friendly.
§  Delta Box Frame : This type of frame is used in R series of Yamaha. This contributes to the overall strength of the bike and reduces vibrations at high speeds. It avoids deformation in case of an accident.
§  Linked type Monocross suspension : It comes loaded with a smooth linked monocross suspension. It acts as a lovely cushion on pot holes and uneven roads.
This is not the end of the list. The bike has a 6 speed gear gearbox which is smooth in shifting. A lot of engineering expertise is gone in reducing the weight of the bike as much as possible. Its kerb weight is just 120 kgs and gives a mileage of 40 km/l.This bike can hit a speed of 130 kmph. The tyres are a little let down but they still better than d broad tyres in other Indian bikes.
At present this bike comes in 4 colors.Red,Black,Yellow and Blue. This bike ends the wait of young amateur bike enthusiasts. This bike has put a bench mark for its competitors.
